FRENCH ROOTS. A VERY PERSONAL INVITATION.
Bonjour,
I’m Anthony.
I created France for Two to give couples something surprisingly rare: a beautiful trip with enough time to actually feel it. France provides the setting. I take care of the rhythm, the rooms, and the many small decisions that allow you to be fully present with each other.
I was born in Brittany, shaped by Paris, and initiated into the art of apéro in Aix-en-Provence. Brittany gave me my roots and a lasting respect for the sea. Paris taught me to notice beauty, even on an ordinary Tuesday. Aix taught me that the hour before dinner deserves to be taken seriously.
Then I crossed the Atlantic. Lafayette arrived with a ship and a cause. I arrived with two suitcases and an accent. We both stayed longer than planned.
For more than a decade, I have worked in American hospitality and travel: hotels, vacation rentals, corporate housing, the quiet craft of making people feel at home far from home. It taught me that great hospitality is rarely spectacular. It lives in the details: a thoughtful welcome, the right room, the reassuring sense that someone has already thought of everything.
Today I live in Arizona, where the sun is reliable and the croissants are not. I miss France the way one misses a former love: unfairly, selectively, and always in perfect lighting. France for Two is how I share it, with its places, its pleasures, and the little French habits that make a journey feel truly alive.
“Every man has two countries: his own, and France.”
Henri de Bornier | La Fille de Roland (1875)
The line is often credited to Thomas Jefferson, who loved France deeply enough to deserve it. In truth, it was written by a French poet. Either way, it holds. Many Americans already carry a little France inside them: a film they never forgot, a dream of Paris, a grandfather who once served here. I simply help them find their way home to it. A proposal at sunset, a honeymoon in a Provençal bastide, an anniversary with Champagne in Champagne: I shape every setting around what the occasion truly means to you.
And before I recommend anything, I listen. How you like to spend a morning. What feels indulgent to you. What you both love, and what you will never quite agree on. Then I build the route, the stays and the moments around those details, so that your France feels unmistakably yours.

Your France trip,
a little clearer.
Do you plan France vacations for American travelers?
Yes. Anthony Ferec is a French-born travel advisor based in Arizona, with fifteen years in international hospitality and travel in the United States. France for Two specializes in romantic France vacations, honeymoons, and anniversary trips for couples, with care in English and French.
What can France for Two help us plan?
Anthony helps shape your route, hotel choices, private guides, transfers, and experiences around your interests and pace. Begin with your regions, nights, style, and priorities in the free trip planner. The resulting brief starts the conversation; it is not a confirmed reservation or a priced package.
What is a good first France itinerary for a couple?
Paris plus one other region is a comfortable place to begin. Think about the contrast you want: countryside in Provence, Champagne celebrations, Loire Valley châteaux, or a coastal chapter. Our 10-day Paris and Provence itinerary shows how two bases can give you a full trip without constant packing.
Can you arrange a honeymoon or anniversary in France?
Yes. Tell Anthony what you are celebrating and which details matter: a particular room, a private photo shoot, a memorable dinner, or simply more time together. Explore our France honeymoon planning guide to start choosing a direction.
Can we visit France without renting a car?
Often, yes. Rail journeys, private transfers, walkable bases, and guided countryside days can be planned around your route. Let Anthony know early if you prefer not to drive so your hotel locations and experiences support that choice.
How do we start, and what should we budget?
Use the planner to share approximate dates, nights in France, your U.S. departure city, and your accommodation budget in dollars. Add your priorities and whether your overall budget includes flights, guides, transport, or special experiences. Anthony can then help you discuss the options that fit.
The best journeys don’t just take you somewhere.
They bring you closer.
